The Council for Estate Agencies (CEA), a statutory board under the Ministry of National Development, administers the regulatory framework for the real estate agency industry. In the Estate Agents Act, “estate agents” refer to the businesses (sole-proprietors, partnerships and companies, such as ERA Realty Network and PropNex), while “salespersons” are the individuals who perform estate agency work.
