Challenge is a publication of the Singapore Public Service. Since its inception in 1995, it has grown from a humble newsletter to a feature-packed online publication.

Staying true to its original mission to encourage innovation in the Public Service, Challenge approaches the Public Service differently by surprising our readers with the diversity and creativity of our Public Service, while daring to ask the hard questions that would spur us to higher heights.

With that out of the way, welcome – and thank you for reading Challenge!

Within these (web) pages lies a labour of love for the Public Service; a love that constantly tries to give all our 152,000 public officers something more to be proud of, yet isn’t afraid to ask the hard questions when the need arises.

Challenge is produced by the Public Service Division, and if you are a public officer, Challenge is your voice too. We want each story to be meaningful in some way to you, and leave you exhilarated, inspired or tickled, with food for thought that you will share, act on and tell us more about!
